Steve Bullock was elected the 24th governor of the "Treasure State" in 2012, and reelected in 2016. The Montana native served as Attorney General of Montana prior to his election. In the past year as Chair of the Western Governors' Association, Governor Bullock has launched the National Forest and Rangeland Management Initiative to create a mechanism for states and land managers to share best practices and policy options for forest and rangeland management.
Dennis Daugaard was elected the 32nd Governor of the "Mount Rushmore State" in 2010, and reelected in 2014. The South Dakota native served two terms as Lieutenant Governor prior to his election. Governor Daugaard will launch the Western Governors' Workforce Development Initiative upon becoming the 2018 Chair of the Western Governors' Association.
Matt Mead was elected the 32nd Governor of the "Cowboy State" in 2010, and reelected in 2014. The Wyoming native served as U.S. Attorney for the District of Wyoming prior to his election. Governor Mead launched the Species Conservation and the Endangered Species Act Initiative as the 2016 Chair of the Western Governors' Association.
